The Principal's Message

WASHINGTON-CALDWELL

SCHOOL DISTRICT

Principal’s Bulletin Board Message

“Alone we can do so little; together, we can do so much.”

(Helen Keller)

It’s “Turn Off Your TV Week!”

For the Week of March 8, 2010:

Again, thank you to our parents who attended conferences.  Parent-Teacher Conferences provide a great opportunity to cement the relationship between home and school.  Let’s keep those lines of communication always open!

This week is “Turn Off Your TV Week At School.”  Parents and their children are invited to school to participate in a variety of activities, including our wonderful and enriching book fair.  Please attend!

Monday evening starting at 5:30, committee meetings (curriculum, safety, strategic plan, and buildings & grounds) will meet.  Please plan to attend.

Monday night our PTO will meet at 6:00 p.m.  Please join our PTO in finding ways to make our school an even better one for our children.  GO PTO!

Monday and Wednesday is Media Night at school (3:35-5:00).  Students must have a signed permission form from their parents.

Best wishes to our Lady Bulldogs as they take to the road this week for two contests.  On Monday, we play Union Grove Christian.  On Tuesday, we travel to play St. Al’s.  GO BULLDOGS!

Calling our school (especially after school hours)?  You will find our phone system more user-friendly.  Callers may now dial a directory of staff extensions so a message can be left for that staff member.

Please drive safely at all times around school.  Remember to wear seat belts at all times – seat belts save lives!  Also, please remember when picking up students at the end of the day to park in the east parking lot.  Do not park in front of the school since our buses are there to pick up students at dismissal time.

Your continued support for the school children, staff, and educational program at Washington-Caldwell is greatly appreciated.

GO BULLDOGS!

Mark Pienkos, Ed.D.

“Few will have the opportunity to bend history itself,

but each of us can work to change a small portion of events

and in the total of all these acts will be written

the history of this generation.”
