Student Recognitions

At Washington-Caldwell, we love “Catching Students Doing the Right Thing!”  Here’s a list of recognition programs offered at our school.

Kindergarten through Grade 8:  “Star Gazing” Award - present daily and then three Student of the Month winners are  selected from all Star Gazing Awards at end of month during Student of the Month Assembly - one from 4K-2nd grade - one from 3rd-5th grade - one from 6th-8th grade

National Elementary Honor Society - available to second semester 4th graders, all 5th graders, and 1st semester 6th graders.  Click here for more information.

National Junior Honor Society  - available to second semester 6th graders, all 7th graders, and all 8th graders. Click here for more information.

GPAs in 7th and 8th grade are used to rank students in these grades - the person with the highest cumulative GPA at the end of 8th grade is recognized as the class valedictorian.  The person with the 2nd highest cumulative GPA is recognized as the class Salutatorian.

Middle School (Grades 6, 7, and 8) First Honor Roll (3.67 GPA or higher) - recognized quarterly in the Waterford Post, school display case, and with a recognition ceremony.

Middle School (Grades 6, 7, and 8) Second Honor Roll (3.0 GPA to 3.66) - recognized quarterly in the Waterford Post, school display case, and with a recognition ceremony.
